Nearly everyone has been affected by cancer in one way or another. Whether it's a parent, grandparent, spouse, child, relative or friend...We All Have a Story!
The RockOut provides an opportunity to share those stories. It offers hope to those currently battling cancer, celebrates the recovery of survivors, honors the memory of those passed and raises money for The American Cancer Society to aid in their Quest to Find a Cure.
The RockOut showcases the musical talent of Ray Powers, Dan Demoise (Fetish Noir), Megan Pennington, stand-up comic Brian Teague and more acts TBA.
Enjoy great food & drinks, dancing, singing, laughing, socializing and plenty of catching up with friends from out of town! It's an afternoon of total fun that starts with raffles and trivia — and wraps up at the nearby Marriott Springhill Suites hotel with a meet and greet reception.
Who can come? Anybody! Come alone or bring a guest. This is an all-ages family friendly event so children are welcome. It can be a weekend getaway so you can enjoy some of Pittsburgh's offerings
(shopping in the Strip District, riding the incline, eating at Primanti's or Grill 36, stadium tours, museum visits) or a Saturday day trip (the highlight being the concert but we also host a meet & greet
afterwards which provides a more laid back environment to socialize). Steelers training camp is that same weekend so head to Latrobe and watch our team practice and perhaps get some autographs!
Who benefits? All net proceeds are donated directly to the Allegheny Research Department of the ACS in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Come and join the fun and meet other Steeler fans and friends and #RockOutToKnockOutCancer!
Tickets go on sale at 8am EDT on Saturday May 13.
