ABOUT THE SLAM
Tonight is an Open Slam!
Poets slamming tonight may read poems on any subject or in any style they choose!
3 Rounds — 3 Minute Time Limit Per Poem!
No Musical Accompaniment
This is the FINAL CHANCE to qualify for our Women of the World Poetry Slam selection show happening on November 30th! All Women and NB poets participating in the slam tonight will earn points towards a spot in our selection slam, which will decide who will represent Steel City at WoWPS 2018 in Dallas, TX!
Poets competing in tonight’s slam will earn points towards our Slam Season Finale show, The Steel City GRAND SLAM, which is where we will select our 2018 team of poets to represent Pittsburgh at the National Poetry Slam in Chicago, IL!
All slamming poets receive — 1 point
3rd Place — 3 points
2nd Place — 4 points
1st Place — 5 points
