Sun 2/18, Sewing Bootcamp Intensive- Pillow Project, 11-4pm
In our most popular sewing class, we cover all elements of Sewing 101 and a second level class, add in some advanced skills, and include a few fun projects to help you get some practice! You will begin by learning how to operate a sewing machine and from there will learn basic sewing skills including how to use a simple pattern, perform a few different machine & hand stitches, as well as the ins and outs of different fabrics, fabric grain & proper cutting techniques. You will learn how to insert zippers, turn & stitch hem edges, and will walk out having finished several simple projects including a zippered throw pillow for your home. All of these are handy skills for basic garment construction as well as creating more home decor items like cloth napkins, dish towels, curtains and cushions!
