In this two-hour workshop, we will expand our proprioception and range of motion through guided mobility and dance exercises. Clayton and Ru will provide anatomy-based instruction, visualizations, and a safe space to get creative with our movement! The Mobility portion will help you understand how each joint of your body is capable of moving in a safe, controlled, and isolated fashion. We will incorporate isometrics, axial rotation of joints, and improve end-range strength. Afterwards, in the Dance portion, we will piece the body back together and integrate each joint into a more dynamic and fluid movement practice. Learn how to isolate and then integrate. This workshop is open-level; no prior yoga or dance experience needed. Come and explore your body — you may surprise yourself!
