Thu 6/28, Aromatherapy Soy Candles 6:30-9pm
Some people are just candle people- you know the ones. They have $48 candles scattered throughout the house and a few secret Glade (Glaaaahday) candles in the bathroom. Making your own is fun and easy, not to mention you can make custom scents that make you happy. Learn the basics of candle making at home. You will be making two natural scented candles in mason jars (sometimes we have some cool vintage small jars too). We jedi you in creating your own personal scents by mixing and matching a variety of different scented oils and essential oils, think bergamont vanilla or spruce- we have an array of fruits, florals, fresh scents and plenty of dude scents too guys. So dont expect to end up with Hawiiaan Breezes stick ups or that Yankee Candle your mom gives you every Christmas. Learn the basics of using soy waxes, proper and safe ways to melt them and how to let them best set and wick basics. After learning the basics of soy candle making through this class, you«ll be whipping up your own awesome candles at home in no time! Helllloooo epic Holiday gifts- whoot whoot.
Supplies Needed: None! But please feel free to bring your own essential oils if you have some favorites at home.
Teacher Bio: Natasha has spent her entire life with her hands either in the soil or in the arts. She's a DIYer, horticulturist, handy woman, Business Owner, part time construction worker, and former high school art teacher. She practices various forms of art and is an advocate for art education. The rules: Classes are for adults only, unless you email in to request permission. To cancel, move or change classes we do require a 72 hour cancellation or change in order to get a refund or move classes. Once past the 72 hour point, we have already locked in your space with the Teacher and supplies, which will be paid out to the Teacher no matter what. , thanks! All classes take place at Workshop PGH at 5135 Penn Avenue in Garfield. Parking is metered until 6pm and is free on Sundays. For open parking, we recommend Coral St, Evaline St. or Winebiddle St. nearby. Feel free to BYO snacks and refreshments. On weekends we have Pigeon Bagel & coffee pop up from 9am — 1pm! See you soon!
