Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix
1000 Gamma Dr, Ste 106, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15238
The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is excited to have BMW as our 2018 Marque of the Year and to host the BMW Car Club of America’s 2018 Oktoberfest here from July 9 through 15. BMW CCA is bringing their largest annual gathering – with 1,000 enthusiasts and 500 BMWs expected. Many thanks to the Allegheny Chapter of the BMW CCA for their commitment – they are one of our most active car clubs that have supported our event for decades and we look forward to celebrating with them this July.
Each year, the BMW CCA holds its preeminent national celebration of all things BMW in a different location around the country. It is the ultimate motorsport family reunion, including parties, banquets, vendors, track days, autocrosses, rallies, a concours and more! 2018 is also the 50th Anniversary of the BMW 2002 in North America – we will have dozens of them on the track both weekends, at our Race Week events and on the fairways of Schenley Park.
There will be something for every BMW enthusiast. The Historics at Pittsburgh International Race Complex on July 6-8 will have two BMW Race Groups with 100 Bimmers expected on track. O’Fest participants will return to Pitt Race throughout the week for track events, an autocross, car control clinics and other events. O’Fest will also feature a TSD rally, gymkhana, driving tours, receptions and banquets. If that’s not enough, participants will also join the Grand Prix during the week for multiple car shows, a concours, a Tune-Up Party and a Jet Center Party before convening at Schenley Park for Race Weekend on July 14-15 where 500 owners will park trackside to watch BMWs participate in the vintage races and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the iconic BMW 2002!
The 2018 PVGP will be a bucket-list week of excitement and fun for any BMW enthusiast. Stay tuned for other surprises that have yet to be announced!
PVGP Historics at Pitt Race – July 7-8
There will be two special BMWCCA run groups at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Tickets are available for $20/day or $30/weekend and you can purchase as you enter. The BMW CCA is hosting a lunch for drivers and spectators on Saturday and Sunday.
Tune-Up Party – Wednesday, July 11
The PVGP Tune-Up Party on Wednesday, July 11 on the north shore is moving the Heinz Field and we hope to see more that 100 BMW O’Fest participants make the short drive from Station Square and join us.
BMW Car Corral at Schenley Park – July 14/15
Because of the large number of BMW participants expected on Race Weekend in Schenley Park and the complexity of registering for a week full of activities, the BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA) will be handling all BMW registration – except for the PVGP events listed below. The cost for the BMW Car Corral at Schenley Park is $75 for the weekend. For those who are not members of the BMWCCA, the $75 Corral registration will include your membership to the BMWCCA for one year. The entire German Hill portion of the golf course is dedicated to BMW O’Fest and all BMWs must register here. Registration includes car parking for the weekend. Lunch and parade lap on Sunday are available as add-ons.
